Coconut Revolution Review

15/07/2014

I first found out about Coconut Revolution when I received a sample of their Coconut Body Cream. I instantly fell in love with it. When my sample was finished I bought a big pot of the body cream as well as a tube of Coconut Body Lotion and a Coconut Lip Balm. I love the smell of coconut so all the products I have are in the “original” scent. Coconut Revolution products are made with organically grown, cold pressed, virgin coconut oil. The word ‘natural’ is used a lot but they don’t seem to have any information about the organic status of the other ingredients. They are an ethical company though. They don’t test on animals and use sustainable practices to harvest the coconuts.

Coconut Revolution products

The Coconut Body Cream has an amazing smell. Being a cream, it is thick, but very easy to rub into the skin. If you use only a small amount, you will find that it absorbs very quickly. This is one of the few products that I use on my eczema. It moisturises the dry itchy skin well and doesn’t aggrevate it any further. The packet says to avoid contact with eyes but I’ve had no issue with putting it on my eyelids for months now. There are only two other products I own that don’t make my eyelid eczema worse but I always gravitate towards this one. Coconut oil is comedogenic so you wont want to use it on areas where you get pimples.
The Coconut Body Lotion is a much thinner product. You need less lotion to moisturise an area than you do cream. This is supposed to have the same “original” scent as the cream but I don’t like this one as much. If you’re looking for something a bit lighter than a body cream, then you will prefer this product. It is moisturising just not as much as the cream.

The last product I have from Coconut Revolution is the Coconut Lip Balm. I don’t have a photo of the stock itself as it has been almost destroyed by Kobi but it looks the same as any lip balm stick. The lip balm itself is quite hard and chalky. It takes some effort to get a decent amount  onto my lips. So I only use it as a light day lip balm, for which it works well. It is smooth when on the lips and not sticky at all. If you have normal lips, then this will be moisturising enough for you. I prefer my lips balms to be more creamy because my lips are very dry. So this doesn’t moisturise my lips as much as I would like.
I like to support businesses who take a natural, cruelty free and ethical approach and the fact that they’re Aussie is even better. The Coconut Revolution Coconut Body Cream is one of my favourite products. I highly recommend it for those of you with dry skin or eczema. The other products I can live without but they may suit other people better than they do me. In future, I would love to try their other products, especially their hair care ones.
Have you tried any of the Coconut Revolution products? Will you be trying any in the future?
Love, Alinta

Thank you for this review. I hadn't heard of this company before, but I love coconut oil and a good rich body cream. I see they've just added an organic range too, so I'll give them a try. Thank you again.

Thank you for reading. They also have stores in shopping centres now so you can try before you buy which is always handy 🙂
