Today is Pink Ribbon Day. Pink Ribbon Day is run by Cancer Council Australia to raise awareness and money for Gynecological and Breast Cancers. You can find more information and ways to get involved and donate at the Pink Ribbon website http://www.pinkribbon.com.au
I started with two layers of China Glaze Rich and Famous which is one of my favourite colours. This polish is a must have for any pink lover. I let the pink dry for over an hour and then added heart Nail Vinyls to each nail. A part of each heart was left off the nail for easy removal. One nail at a time I painted a layer of Zoya Dahlia and then quickly removed the vinyls. If the polish dries before the vinyls are taken off then the whole polish layer can be taken with it. Zoya Dahlia dries with a lightly textured finish like all of the polishes in the Zoya Pixie Dust collection.
I don’t know that my theme has been represented well with these nails. They are almost Valentine’s Day nails instead. Next time I will include a pink ribbon to make the theme more obvious. To anyone who is suffering or going through a hard time, maintain hope. It will get you through the darkest of days. I hope that one day we find a cure for cancer and that no one has to suffer through such a terrible disease. For now, I just wanted to show my support for the cause. Have you done something for Pink Ribbon Day?
