Powder Perfect and Nailed Kit Christmas Nails

13/12/2014

I signed up to the monthly Nailed Kit subscription box after seeing the adorable decals that would be in the Christmas box.

Nailed Kit December Decals

When I received them, I immediately knew that I wanted to pair them with some Powder Perfect polishes.

The first Powder Perfect polish I used was What Is It With You & Xmas Trees? It is a green crelly with lots of different glitter types that make it look like you’re wearing a decorated Christmas tree on your nails. I needed three dabbed coats for the polish to be opaque and s thick top coat for it to be smooth but that’s expected with glitter polishes. On the ring finger I used a cute Nailed Kit bauble decal which was really easy to apply. I used a new top coat which unfortunately was a bad batch and bubbled on my nail so it kind of ruined the image but it still looks cute from far away. I really loved wearing this mani and Powder Perfect What Is It With You & Xmas Trees? is the perfect Christmas polish.

For the second mani I decided to use Powder Perfect Prettiest Sight To See. It is a beautiful white crelly with pink, purple and metallic bronze glitters. I adore this polish, it is near the top of my favourites list. I did three dabbed layers for it to be opaque and used two layers of topcoat as it is a thirsty polish. I got 5 days wear before I saw any tip wear and had no chips in that time, which is amazing for my nails. After a couple of days I decided to add a Nailed Kit decal to my index finger as it had the least amount of glitter. The decal would stand out more over a plain white base but I didn’t want to take off Prettiest Sight To See. The snowflake decal matched the polish perfectly and made the metallic glitters look iridescent in the shade, so it was a good combo. When I first applied the polish, it reminded me of flowers blooming in spring, but as I wore it, it reminded me more and more of christmas. I think I will be getting a lot of wear out of Powder Perfect Prettiest Sight To See and I highly recommend it for other crelly glitter lovers like me.
