What’s In-die Box Aussie Christmas

29/12/2014

I have saved this post until after Christmas as I know a few people who were getting it as a Christmas present and I didn’t want to spoil the surprise for them. The theme for the 2014 December What’s In-die Box is Aussie Christmas. My iPhone macro lense didn’t do well at capturing most of these polishes but I hope you get some idea of what they look like.

Glam Polish Harbour Lights

Glam Polish Harbour Lights is a dark green polish with lots of small holographic glitters. This is almost a one coater but I did two to even it out. It definitely looks like a Christmas tree with its lights on. I don’t know if I will get much use out of it as I don’t really wear dark colours but it is a beautiful polish.

Lilypad Lacquer Sun, Sand & Surf is hard to describe. There are red, blue and gold glitters in a sand coloured base. I needed three coats for this to be opaque as it is quite sheer but the formula is good. It does reminded me of sand castles but I can’t decide if I like it or not.

Glittering Elements Christmas In Paradise is a bright blue holographic polish. I used three coats to make it opaque. It certainly looks like the beautiful oceans of northern Australia but it’s not Christmas themed. It will be a lovely polish to use during summer.

MckFresh Nail Attire Gotta Have Pav is a white crelly base with micro holographic  particles and what might be clear shards. This is a very good rendition of the aussie Pav. It shows the fluffiness of Pavlova with the little clear inclusions. I think this will be a good polish to use in winter as it also looks a lot like snow.
Peita’s Polish Seafood Delight
Peita’s Polish Seafood Delight

Peita’s Polish Seafood Delight is an orange creme with gold shimmer. I had problems with the formula of the polish. The pigment didn’t mix in completely even with lots of shaking as you can see in both photos. It was opaque and even in three coats but the formula was really thick and hard to spread. The colour of this polish is really beautiful and it does remind me of prawns but I can’t see myself using it because of the formula problems.
I know a lot of people who really loved this box but I think next month might be more my style as it is True Love themed. You can get it from Peita’s Polish website. Do you have a favourite out of these polishes?
Love, Alinta
