Colette Small Purse and Real Techniques Mini Brush Set |
Both Real Techniques and Ecotools do mini synthetic (cruelty free) brush sets. The Ecotools Mini Essentials Set is available at Priceline, and both sets are available from iHerb – iHerb is a good place to look for Real Techniques and Ecotools products as they’re cheaper than Priceline. Both brush sets easily fit into my little Colette by Colette Hayman Large Plate Small Purse and my Rubi Shoes Rose Gold Coin Purse. Rubi have a cosmetic case in the same rose gold colour which would work well too. Colette have lots of cute bags and accessories that will be great as gifts.

If you have a bigger budget, then Too Faced have some really cute Christmas sets, including Le Petit Tresor, Melted Kisses and Sweet Cheeks, and Twice The Sex mascara gift pack. Too Faced is cruelty free and all three sets are vegan friendly. You can get them at Mecca online or in store at Mecca Maxima. Chi Chi Cosmetics also have some cute gift sets out like the Makeup Blender Complete Collection, Meet The Girls Fragrance Collection, Peach and Mango EDP Gift Set, Face Extravaganza Palette, as well as many others. They are available at Target and Myer but Myer seem to have more sets in stock. I am getting the Too Faced Melted Kisses and Sweet Cheeks Set and the Chi Chi Peach and Mango EDP Gift Set for Christmas – so I can’t open them yet, but I will post reviews in the new year if you’re interested.
Designer Brands are a completely cruelty free and vegan company so if you are looking for gifts for a vegan, then DB Cosmetics is a good place to start. I have the limited edition 6 pan Pro Contour Kit and I think it’s a good product to add to any makeup lovers collection. I had a lot of trouble finding it in stock in stores, as it has been so popular, so my advice is to order online if that is what you want to get. I have used mine and it has a few scratches from being on display in store but you will get a good one if you order through the website.

Furless Cosmetics is another cruelty free and vegan company. They sell the most amazing synthetic brushes, you can see my review on the Couture Body Contour Kit to see what I think of it. If you have money, then I highly recommend their brushes, otherwise they have lots of nail polish colours which would be great stocking stuffers. I have a reviews on both the dark (Autumn Hues With Furless Cosmetics) and bright (Furless Cosmetics Nail Polish Review) nail polish colours that you can check out.

As usual, Aussie indie polish brands are bringing out lots of interesting polishes. Some great shops to check out are Powder Perfect, Grace-Full Nail Polish, Emily de Molly Nail Colour and Pretty Serious Cosmetics. Femme Fatale Cosmetics stock many Australian indie polish brands as well as international polishes and various indie cosmetic and bath and body lines. If you can’t choose, then getting a Femme Fatale gift card is always a good choice.

I recently posted about The Balm Cosmetics and Sleek Makeup now being available in some Target stores. If they still have items in stock then The Balm Manizer Sisters Palette and the Meet Matt(e) Hughes liquid lipsticks are great gifts. The Sleek Contouring and Blush Kits are also a really popular item.

Colourpop Cosmetics just came out with the cutest eyeshadow called Puppy Love, where all proceeds are going to be donated to Best Friends Animals Society and their NKLA initiative. I have multiples coming my way but Colourpop shipping times have slowed down considerably on the lead up to Christmas, so items bought now may not arrive from America in time. It is however a great gift to give yourself as you get to help animals at the same time.
If you’re looking for something girly but not makeup, then Kikki K is a good place to start. They have lots of stationery items as well as an adorable range of homewares. I love the orange/pink/gold stationery from the Be Brave line. The Be Brave Bowl Set Of 3 and Svenska Hem Stilla Copper Vessel are my favourite decorative items. Kikki K will be launching iPhone cases soon, and you can’t forget all of the cute pens they sell that will be good stocking stuffers.

If you know that the person you are buying for loves metallic decor, then you only need to take a quick stroll through a shopping centre to find lots of items. Some metallic decor items can be really expensive but Target and Kmart have recently launched items that fit in well with this trend. Target have Gold, Rose Gold and Silver coloured tea light holders from the Lisa T range as well as well as limited edition gold and rose gold soy candles with either a concrete or dome lid. Kmart have Geometric Metal Tealight Holders in copper, brass or silver and a Copper Glass Scented Candle. Both the Target and Kmart items are really popular so they can be hard to find in store, and if you do find them, double check for dents and scratches that other shoppers have made. There are plenty of handmade online candle businesses that have candles in real copper vessels, but I haven’t tried any of them so I don’t want to suggest any and lead you astray if the quality isn’t there.

Something that is really popular at the moment is succulents. You can find a nice little pot and make it personal or buy a premade one. I found some in cute little fabric pot covers at my local shopping centre.

My gift ideas list wouldn’t be complete without a dog related item. I came across these cute little Dachshund earrings in a store called Giftology House, they are made by the Melbourne brand Short Story. The Sausage Dog Earrings come in both Gold and Silver. They have a tin alloy front and stainless steel back for sensitive ears. Short Story have lots of earring designs (including Giraffe, Snail, Snowflake, Bumble Bee and Butterfly designs) and they all come in a cute glass bottle with a cork lid. I don’t own any myself so I can’t give you a review of them, but they look like a great gift.

I hope this list of presents helps you with your shopping. I already own and love many of these items, which is why I am recommending them, others are on my personal wish list. I hope you enjoy the holidays and have a safe and happy new year. I will hopefully have some time and energy to do Christmas nail designs this year, so keep an eye on the blog for those.
Have I missed a good present idea? Let me know what you want for Christmas in the comments below.
